Don’t Take My Bone

As Lucy and I were developing trust, she learned to bring whatever food she found on our excursions to me for approval. It was an amazing trait, developed from our time together. Here she was letting me know that I better not take this from her. I didn’t. My lesson? Some people will take your bone, if you let them. It is hard not to like Lucy

There is nothing like having a dog that just wants to be with you. I am here at my office, leaning forward, and she hops on my back.   I don’t want to move.

I have always told people Lucy would rather go than eat.  I mean it.  And she loves the back of my Subaru.  It is her domain.  So she has a very nice bed, water, food dish and she chooses to get into my container where I put my jacket.  I think it is easier there to see outside.  She doesn’t have to stand up.  I go on trips sometimes just because I know she likes to go.  I do love her.

Training

I used to hate it when dogs came up and jumped on me.  Lucy does this, and I can’t bring myself to break her from it.   It is hard to resist, especially when she does this dance from 4 feet away.
