As a set in his ways, crotchety old bachelor, I find it a waste of time to think about dating. Especially since a preacher told me trust and respect is a stupid reason to get married. Now we get to the biggest reason I will always love Lucy. Trust. By the end, there was complete trust between the 2 of us. My Jack Russell spent our whole time together studying me. She figured out what made me tick and pushed those buttons. Now I know I will not find anyone willing to make that effort. That means I will take great joy in all those Lucy moments, and I will cherish them forever.
