While it has been two years since I told Lucy goodbye, my last words to her ring in my ears often. I promised her that I would tell anyone who would listen that I would tell the world what a wonderful dog she was, and to me, still is. I feel her presence often. I see sneering looks at my joy over my dog.  Nobody will know what that dog means to me. Nobody will know what that dog did for me. Nobody will know what that dog taught me. I heard someone well respected in our world tell a story that said what I want to tell everyone. You really don’t know what is going on in someone else’s world.
